Pill Box Care Package

My boyfriend is getting ready to go on a week long trip to a training nine hours away from where I live. So before he leaves I wanted to put together some kind of care package to send with him, so he can think of me and know how much I love him and miss him while he is gone, but I was having a hard time coming up with ideas for the package. So I looked where most people would look for ideas, on Pinterest. There I found this adorable idea for a pill box care package that would last a whole week. I took their ideas and added a little bit of my own ideas to make it fit my boyfriend and I better.

The only thing I didn't really like about the original idea was that every day had a different type of candy. Which ment that I was going to have to go out and buy seven different types of candy, but only use enough to fill a tiny pill box. For some people this may not be a problem an they would be happy to eat the remaining candy, but I try to avoid eating candy, so that seemed like a waste of money to me. Instead I used a shareable size bag of m&m's. It worked out perfect to have one color each day and then a mixture of colors on the seventh day. There were a few leftover, but I used all of the yellow and brown m&m's.

I found a pill case that locks, so the candy won't fall out, at Walgreen's for $3.99. Then I printed out the seven different sayings about love and why I love my boyfriend from this blog, and finished them off writing my personal reasons by hand. On the back of each of those I hand wrote the following for each day:
1. The red m&m's show I love you with all my heart.
2. The orange m&m's help you stay positive.
3. The green m&m's remind you to keep going when things get tough.
4. The yellow m&m's help brighten up your day.
5. The blue m&m's remind you to keep an open mind.
6. The brown m&m's give you energy when you are running low.
7. For best results, take them all at once! :)

Here is a picture of my finished project.

I hope I was able to give you some useful ideas.
